Mammography Technologist and Breast Sonographer

Job Summary

Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams, breast ultrasounds, and biopsies using specialized equipment while working closely with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging results. Operate mammography and ultrasound equipment to identify and record anatomical and pathological information, ensuring high-quality images are produced. Adhere to radiation safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and departmental procedures for patient identification, orders verification, and documentation. Provide appropriate patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns in a fast-paced environment. This part-time role includes Monday and Friday shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a requirement for cross-training in Bone Density if needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Mammography
  • Rad Tech license in state of practice, if applicable in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Mammography and breast Ultrasound
  • ARRT Breast Ultrasound or ARDMS Sonography or ARDMS Sonography
  • Three years of experience working in Mammography and breast Ultrasound
  • Cross-training in Bone Density, required (if needed)
