Job Summary

Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams, breast ultrasounds, and biopsies using specialized equipment while ensuring proper patient identification and radiation safety. Operate mammography and ultrasound machines to produce high-quality images, demonstrate positioning competency, and adhere to department protocols for procedures like stereotactic biopsies and clip placements. Provide patient education, ensure comfort, practice sterile techniques, and complete accurate documentation of procedures and adverse reactions. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver accurate imaging results in a fast-paced environment. Requires ARRT certification, BLS, and demonstrated proficiency in mammography and breast ultrasound. Part-time schedule of 20 hours, Monday and Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Mammography
  • Rad Tech license in state of practice, if applicable in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Mammography and breast Ultrasound
  • ARRT Breast Ultrasound or ARDMS Sonography or ARDMS Sonography
  • Three years of experience working in Mammography and breast Ultrasound
  • Cross-training in Bone Density, required (if needed)
