Job Summary
Produce diagnostic mammograms and assist radiologists in mammographic procedures under the supervision of the Manager of the Breast Center. Operate mammography equipment with technical decision-making to deliver high-quality images while ensuring patient care for adult and geriatric populations. Work variable flex shifts including weekends, holidays, and occasional call shifts within a busy, high-volume hospital setting. Float to other facilities within the organization up to competency level as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography (ARRT-M) certification
- Valid Nevada state radiologic license prior to start date
- Minimum 2 years of mammography technologist experience in a clinical setting
- BLS certification
- Proficiency operating mammography equipment and mammography unit workflow
- Experience producing diagnostic mammograms and assisting radiologists in mammographic procedures
- Ability to provide care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients
- Willingness to float to other facilities within the organization up to competency level
- Willingness to work variable schedules that may include weekends, holidays, and occasional call shifts
- Ability to work required major holidays as requested
- Under the supervision of the Manager of the Breast Center
- Technical decision-making to deliver high-quality mammographic images
- Competency in mammography unit operation
- Familiarity with department computer systems
