Job Summary

Perform mammography radiographic exams on patients by preparing them for the procedure, explaining the exam, administering contrast when necessary, positioning patients, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, and ensuring technical image quality. Enter and monitor patient data while performing quality assurance on mammography equipment, including assisting with initial and renewal applications for ACR accreditation. Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management and take emergency calls within the department. Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications for time management, supply management, productivity, and service quality. Promote professional growth by meeting continuing education requirements and serving as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology", "Graduate of an approved program of Mammography Technology", "Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support", "Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)", "Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)", "Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M)", "Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction...
