Job Summary
Mammography Technician actively participates in specialized radiographic imaging procedures to assist radiologists in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include performing specialized mammography imaging, delivering compassionate patient care, supporting quality, safety, and regulatory initiatives, and collaborating with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams. The role requires licensure/fluoroscopy permit, JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology education, ARRT certification, advanced Mammography certification, BCLS, and experience in radiology/HIS RIS systems, with travel to imaging facilities as needed. This full-time position offers a 4x10 schedule in the Chicago area, with a sign-on bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program accredited by JRCERT
- Current ARRT certification
- Advanced certification in the field of Mammography
- Current experience as a radiology technologist
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills
- Current BCLS (AHA) certification
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards
- Ability to travel to all imaging facilities both regularly and without notice
- Experience in Hospital Information Services (HIS)/Radiology Information System (RIS)
