Job Summary
Perform mammography examinations according to technical standards while utilizing departmental instructional methods. Ensure patient, visitor, and coworker safety by responding to emergency codes and life safety practices. Execute related duties to maintain efficient patient flow and safe office operations, including providing informal supervision to non-technical staff. Manage office record keeping and documentation using computerized information systems and clerical equipment. Complete the Mammography Cross Training program and ARRT Mammography boards to advance in this full-time, 40-hour position. Schedule varies Monday-Friday with X-Ray coverage two days per week.
Required Qualifications
- completed an accredited Radiology School program
- registered by or registry-eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography
- current or upcoming X-Ray Technologist license in the State of NJ
- American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross BLS certification
- full knowledge of all aspects of radiation protection
- willing to complete the Mammography Cross Training program
- successfully complete the ARRT Mammography boards
