Job Summary
Perform quality mammograms and intervention procedures as ordered by referring physicians or radiologists, ensuring proper techniques and patient positioning. Obtain medical histories, explain procedures, and prepare patients while maintaining accurate EMR records. Assist with interventional procedures, conduct quality control and image assessments, and manage equipment maintenance logs. Keep the work area clean and stocked, and serve as backup relief for other radiologic areas when needed. Maintain ARRT registry, state licensure, and CPR certification. This role requires constant alertness in a radiologic office environment with frequent radiation exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of approved school of radiologic technology
- ARRT registry
- Arkansas R.T. licensure
- CPR certification
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical and medical reports and procedures
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients, staff or physicians
- Ability to prepare documentation and records
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Good communication and organizational skills
