Job Summary
Registered Mammography Technologist produces high-quality breast imaging procedures (mammography) and DEXA scans under physician interpretation; assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures while maintaining aseptic technique; operates mammography equipment to produce diagnostic images and applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure; collects patient history, educates patients, and provides discharge instructions; department focus on Women’s Imaging Center at Mercy Health in Cincinnati, OH with ARRT-based credentials and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)
- ARRT registration and Mammography certification (preferred or required within six months)
- State licensure (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred or required prior to direct patient care)
- 1 year of experience as a registered mammography technologist (preferred)
- Experience with EPIC EHR and PACS (preferred)
