Job Summary
Perform diagnostic mammography and general x-ray procedures; operate and calibrate mammography and x-ray equipment; read orders, prepare patients, and ensure MQSA compliance; explain procedures to patients and position them correctly for examinations; maintain equipment and follow radiation safety policies; collaborate with radiology staff and management; must be an ARRT-certified radiologic technologist or equivalent; BLS certification required; part-time per diem schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Must be ARRT or equivalent certified
- Must be a registered Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible and pass registry within one year of hire
- Must take and pass the Mammography Registry within one year
- BLS required
- Cannot be on probation from the ARRT more than once
