Job Summary
Conduct all types of mammography imaging, including needle localization, lymph node injections, ductograms, and bone densitometry. Perform stereotactic procedures and quality control while determining proper technical factors and adjusting equipment. Assist physicians with biopsy and aspiration procedures using sterile technique, evaluate images for abnormalities, and communicate with the Radiologist. Educate patients before, during, and after exams, then complete documentation and charging functions. Report adverse events, equipment malfunctions, or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in Radiography and Mammography R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT)
- Qualified to perform stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to float as needed to designated locations based on staffing needs
Desired Qualifications
- Four (4) years of mammography experience
- Two (2) year of experience in stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography
- Experience in Clinical Research setting
