Job Summary
Provide person-centred support tailored to a client's individual needs, including managing baseline paranoia and anxiety. Assist with personal care, hygiene, and continence support while promoting independence and community participation. Support community access, appointments, and daily living activities, including mobility assistance using a 4-wheel walker or wheelchair. Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation in a safe, respectful environment. This role requires flexibility for morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, and sleepover shifts. Candidates must hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, a Working With Children Check, and current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or an equivalent qualification
- Current Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Current National Police Check via Rapid Screening
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence (international licences are not accepted)
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance and current registration
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
- Valid passport or evidence of Australian work rights (if applicable)
- Education qualification certificate
- Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, and sleepover shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting clients with schizophrenia, acquired brain injury (ABI), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), intellectual disability, and personality disorders (preferred)
