Job Summary
Medical Sales Representative based in Penang, Malaysia, responsible for achieving sales targets for Santen’s ophthalmology portfolio by detailing key products to hospital stakeholders, supporting product launches and marketing initiatives, expanding opportunities through new account acquisition and hospital product listings, and delivering effective promotional activities to drive market share while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma, Degree preferred
- 2 years relevant sales experience, preferably Pharmaceutical/Healthcare related industry
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Independent and resourceful team player with strong analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales
- Experience promoting ophthalmology products (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with hospital product listing processes
- Fluent in English; Malay language beneficial
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Customer relationship management
- Detailing and promotional activities experience
- Reporting and call activity documentation
- Ability to travel as required within the region
- Graduate with strong business acumen
- Knowledge of the ophthalmology portfolio preferred
