Job Summary
Malay Transcriber needed on-site in Orlando, FL to convert audio/video recordings into written Malay text (ms_my) for a project-based role at Productive Playhouse. Responsibilities include listening to recordings, accurately transcribing content with project-specific formatting and grammar, adhering to client-written Domain Conventions and “clean room” policies, reviewing and proofreading transcripts, meeting deadlines, reporting technical issues, and suggesting process improvements. Candidates should be detail-oriented with strong listening, punctuation, grammar, and spelling, and must be able to work 8–40 hours per week, handle confidential information, and operate in Mac/PC environments using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, US work authorization (no sponsorship), ability to pass a language assessment, and 40 WPM Malay typing (ms_my) or higher. The role is on-site with flexible scheduling and a pay rate of $22.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications

- Authorized to work in the United States
- Typing speed of 40 WPM in Malay (ms_my) or higher (preferred)
- Ability to read, write, understand and type in Malay (ms_my)
- Proficiency with Mac and PC platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
- Able to pass a language assessment test
- On-site presence in Orlando, FL
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with transcription and client-specific conventions (preferred)
