Job Summary
Seasonal Makeup Manager leads the makeup department for the attraction, balancing hands-on artistry with team leadership to keep performers show-ready. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring makeup artists, assigning tasks by skill and nightly needs, conducting pre-shift briefings, overseeing makeup design and quality control, partnering with creative leadership, stepping in for complex applications during peak periods, building nightly schedules, coordinating with costume and stage management, maintaining makeup inventory and sanitation standards, and serving as the primary liaison with related departments. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, adaptability to live performances, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. 18+ and available for the SeptemberâNovember season.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a lead or supervisory makeup artist in theatrical, film, themed entertainment, or haunted attraction settings
- Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced special effects, prosthetics, and character design skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities with experience managing a creative team
- Ability to balance hands-on artistry with department-level oversight and scheduling
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and all scheduled event datesâmandatory training and pre-show prep included
- Must be 18 years of age or older
