Job Summary
Complete make-ready work in vacant apartments and townhomes, including installing and removing appliances, painting walls and trim, repairing drywall, performing basic plumbing and electrical fixes, and replacing hardware. Remove old carpet when needed, program garage door openers, and communicate with the service department regarding parts and inventory. Maintain a clean work area and complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and within established deadlines. This role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p. m. with no weekends, on-call rotation, or regularly scheduled overtime. Prieb Property Management provides a company vehicle for work-related use during business hours.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in apartment make-ready work, residential maintenance, building maintenance, construction, or a related trade
- Working knowledge of painting, drywall, basic plumbing, basic electrical, appliance installation, and general repairs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and assist with a variety of maintenance tasks
- Ability to safely lift and transport up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders as required
- Ability to use an iPad or similar device for work-related tasks
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements
- Professional appearance and conduct appropriate for working in residential communities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening
