Make Ready Technician

Job Summary
Meet with the Service Manager daily to review make readies, service requests, and special projects. Receive and complete make ready service requests, ensuring all repairs, improvements, and preventative maintenance meet code compliance and budget constraints. Execute checklists for apartment turns within five business days, handling tasks like drywall, painting, plumbing, and electrical work. Walk the community daily to inspect physical aspects, report unsafe conditions immediately, and maintain grounds, amenities, and common areas. Manage inventory of tools and spare parts while submitting accurate paperwork and reports. Work on-call shifts to assist with resident and community emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Six (6) months of work experience or training in maintenance
- Previous work experience in multi-family property maintenance
- Working knowledge of and experience in drywall
- Working knowledge of and experience in electrical
- Working knowledge of and experience in carpentry
- Working knowledge of and experience in flooring
- Working knowledge of and experience in plumbing
- Working knowledge of and experience in painting
- Working knowledge of and experience in appliances
- Working knowledge of and experience in HVAC
- Working knowledge of and experience in lock change
- Experience in capital improvement projects and remodeling
- Must possess demonstrated effective written and verbal communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to work varying hours
- Ability to promptly respond to emergency situations
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual ability in English and Spanish
- HVAC type 1 and type 2 certifications
- Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) certification
