Job Summary
Conduct technical and mechanical repairs on vacant apartment units to ensure they meet quality standards for re-leasing. Complete make-ready checklists, including caulking, sheetrock repairs, touch-up painting, and general cleaning of common areas. Maintain grounds and amenities by pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas while adhering to safety protocols and expense control programs. Submit all required maintenance documentation promptly and respond to resident work orders with urgency. Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet)
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, which includes taking 'call' during evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to attend and participate in the community's routine safety meetings
- Must complete required training on OSHA and other safety related laws and requirements
- Must be able to report accidents and incidents promptly and accurately
