Job Summary
Complete necessary repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in by following the make-ready checklist, inspecting sheetrock, caulking, sealing windows and fixtures, and performing touch-up paint. Maintain an inventory of supplies, cut expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts, and assist with property curb appeal through trash removal, pressure-washing, and general cleaning. Comply with safety policies by participating in training meetings and reporting incidents promptly while delivering high-level customer service with efficiency and urgency. Perform other duties as assigned, including general maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or related field
- General knowledge in a variety of skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, and maintenance, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders and access various areas of the property
- Must be able to push or pull items and reach overhead
- Must be able to bend, stoop or kneel
- Must have dexterity of hands and fingers and ability to grasp tools
- Must be able to see to perform inspections and read computer screens
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Must be able to lift or carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
- A flexible schedule is required and hours include weekdays, nights, and weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays) as needed to meet business needs
- Valid driver's license is preferred; candidates without a license will be provided a liability waiver
Desired Qualifications
