Job Summary
Complete necessary repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in by following the make-ready checklist, inspecting sheetrock, caulking, sealing, and performing touch-up paint. Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment while cutting expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts. Assist with property curb appeal through trash removal, pressure-washing, and general cleaning as needed. Comply with safety policies by participating in training, reporting accidents, and treating residents with respect. Work flexible hours including weekends and nights to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or related field
- General knowledge in a variety of skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, and maintenance, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders and access various areas of the property
- Must be able to push or pull items and reach overhead
- Must be able to bend, stoop or kneel
- Must require dexterity of hands and fingers and ability to grasp tools
- Must be able to see to perform inspections and read computer screens
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Must be able to lift or carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
- A flexible schedule is required and hours include weekdays, nights, and weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays) as needed to meet business needs
- Valid driver's license is preferred; candidates without a license will be provided a liability waiver

- HVAC experience a plus but not required
