Job Summary
Prepare vacant apartments for market-ready status by handling turn-over repairs, painting, and minor fixes. Maintain snow removal, cleaning, and upkeep of community grounds, including common areas, breezeways, stairwells, and dumpster zones. Pick up trash from buildings, parking areas, and shared spaces. Assist the maintenance team with light tasks and report any maintenance or safety concerns to management. This is a HUD property in North Houston requiring a candidate with 1+ years of custodial or maintenance experience, strong attention to detail, and ability to occasionally lift 50lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in maintenance or custodial work
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50lbs
- Ability to prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
- Ability to replace hardware, lighting, cleanliness and curb appeal of community grounds
- Ability to follow safety protocols
- Ability to maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Basic knowledge of electrical
- Basic knowledge of plumbing
- Basic knowledge of carpentry
- Basic knowledge of painting
