Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic kidney conditions (CKD, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, glomerular diseases, ESRD), managing dialysis patients, coordinating with transplant evaluation and post-transplant care, collaborating with primary care and specialty colleagues, and educating patients on kidney disease prevention and treatment options to promote kidney health and quality of life.
