Job Summary
Evaluate new software deployments to identify cybersecurity shortcomings and security gaps. Collaborate with developers to analyze issues, develop remediation plans, and execute tests for security-related changes. Confirm that implemented solutions resolve identified gaps and translate complex security concerns into understandable testing requirements. Document all testing activities, results, and remediation outcomes while supporting security assessments using operational security knowledge. Participate in Agile testing, issue resolution, and solution-validation activities. Active Secret clearance and foundational cybersecurity knowledge required. Located in or near the Washington, D.C. area.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity
- Intermediate proficiency in cybersecurity fundamentals
- Intermediate proficiency in cybersecurity assessment
- Intermediate proficiency in cybersecurity operations
- Strong software testing and solution-validation skills
- Ability to understand cybersecurity terminology and complex security issues
- Ability to work closely with developers to identify, remediate, and retest security gaps
Desired Qualifications
- Located in or near the Washington, D.C. area
- Background in software testing fundamentals
- Experience working with Agile processes and procedures
