Job Summary
Provide trauma-informed individual counseling and crisis intervention services to unaccompanied minors in the Big Bend region of Texas. Conduct behavioral health assessments, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with physicians and case managers to deliver comprehensive mental health support. Maintain clinical documentation and advocate for the safety and well-being of children while helping them build resilience and coping skills. This full-time, onsite position requires U.S. citizenship and an active independent clinical license.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field
- Active, unrestricted independent clinical license in any U.S. state or U.S. territory (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years of post-independent licensure experience
- Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or other vulnerable populations
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work onsite in the Big Bend region of Texas
- U.S. Citizen
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with unaccompanied minors, foster care, refugee populations, residential treatment, or child welfare
- Experience in crisis response or high-acuity behavioral health settings
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
