Job Summary
Provide trauma-informed individual counseling and crisis intervention services to unaccompanied minors in a residential care setting. Conduct behavioral health assessments, develop treatment recommendations, and collaborate with physicians and case managers to deliver exceptional care. Maintain clinical documentation and advocate for the safety, well-being, and success of every child. This full-time, onsite position requires U.S. citizenship and an active independent clinical license. Located in El Centro, California, the role offers a quieter pace of life with over 300 days of sunshine and easy access to Southern California.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field
- Active, unrestricted independent clinical license in any U.S. state or U.S. territory (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years of post-independent licensure experience
- Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or other vulnerable populations
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work onsite in El Centro, California
- U.S. Citizen
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with unaccompanied minors, foster care, refugee populations, residential treatment, or child welfare
- Experience in crisis response or high-acuity behavioral health settings
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
