Make a Difference Through Conversation in Rockdale - Community Visits

Conduct regular one-on-one visits with an older gentleman in Rockdale to provide companionship and engage in relaxed conversations about his life experiences. Listen attentively to stories from the past during 30-minute sessions scheduled between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Sunday. Offer social connection to reduce feelings of isolation while sharing meaningful time with a WWII veteran who has nearly a century of stories to share. This volunteer role supports HammondCare's Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme, funded by the Australian Government, to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in the local community.
