Job Summary
Sr. Manager of Programs for Vistra Nuclear Operations responsible for ensuring nuclear licensing basis programs remain current and compliant throughout the Extended Power Uprate project. Owns cross-cutting program alignment across Fire Protection, Environmental Qualification, design integration, procedures, and training, and directs a team including SROs, procedure writers, and engineers to support design integration and operability review. Serves as the primary interface between project execution and station programs, ensuring program updates are completed, verified, and ready to support uprate. Key tasks include coordinating FPP and EQ updates with EPCs, Owner's Engineer, and licensing; driving revision of operating, emergency, and abnormal procedures for EPU power levels and setpoints; coordinating with training to incorporate changes into licensed and non-licensed operator programs; acting as the cross-project integration point for program commitments; identifying program-related risks and schedule conflicts and escalating issues to protect outage readiness and NRC compliance. The role requires leading knowledge of NRC regulations, NQA-1 standards, INPO/WANO requirements, and experience managing large teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 10+ years of nuclear industry experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing nuclear programs or engineering
- Deep knowledge of nuclear licensing basis programs: Fire Protection (FPP), Environmental Qualification (EQ), procedures, and training
- Previous SRO or RO required
- Strong knowledge of NRC regulations, NQA-1 standards, and INPO/WANO program requirements
- Experience managing large teams
