Job Summary
Lead the electrical engineering scope for Power Uprate projects, directing design, modification, and testing of electrical systems to meet NRC, NERC, and fleet standards. Coordinate with EPCs, OEMs, and site engineering to ensure compatibility and constructability of electrical modifications, provide technical leadership to resolve electrical issues, and ensure designs support long-term operability and integration into the fleet's systems. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years in nuclear/heavy industrial engineering with 5+ years in electrical design, plus experience with Extended Power Uprates and regulatory submittals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 10+ years of nuclear engineering or heavy industrial engineering experience, with 5+ years in electrical systems design, modification, or major projects
- Direct experience with Extended Power Uprates, electrical upgrades, switchyard/grid integration, or equivalent $1B+ projects
- Strong knowledge of NRC, INPO, IEEE, NERC, and ANSI codes and standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead electrical engineering teams and coordinate with EPCs, OEMs, and site operations
- Experience supporting regulatory submittals and addressing NRC/INPO or NERC compliance questions preferred
