Job Summary
Major Gifts Officer in Southern California within ADL’s development function. Responsible for maximizing donor engagement to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual and institutional prospects capable of making gifts between $50,000 and $500,000. Leads the solicitation process with tailored proposals and funding opportunities, maintains current knowledge of ADL priorities, collaborates with prospect research, negotiates gift terms, and ensures accurate donor records in the CRM. Requires significant travel (up to 50%), exceptional storytelling and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid Los Angeles office environment. Education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Salary: $110,000–$120,000 for a 35-hour work week, with comprehensive benefits; 3 days/week in LA office. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Significant fundraising experience including a demonstrated record of soliciting and closing five-figure and six-figure gifts
- Experience with fundraising databases (Salesforce)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in Los Angeles office)
