Job Summary
Secure five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts from individuals and family foundations within a multi-state territory to support the USO's mission nationally and globally. Manage a portfolio of 75 donors while leveraging wealth analytics to identify, qualify, and cultivate new prospects through in-person meetings, virtual calls, and mission immersion experiences. Collaborate with the Prospect Development team to request customized prospect lists and partner with Area Directors to align messaging for local fundraising activations. Prepare and present oral and written reports on donor progress and revenue growth. This remote position oversees a territory encompassing Northern California, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, with a primary focus on growing the San Francisco Bay Area market. Candidates must reside within the San Francisco Bay Area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years work experience in individual, foundation, and corporate giving/sponsorship development role
- at least 2 years of experience as a frontline fundraiser managing a portfolio of individual donors utilizing the moves management process
- track record of directly soliciting and securing gifts of $25,000+
- Relevant experience in a national or global organization
- experience with six-figure solicitations
- Solid knowledge of IRS guidelines for charitable contributions
- Solid knowledge of Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance Standards for Charity Accountability
- Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver's license
- Candidates must reside within the San Francisco Bay Area
- Background check – education, criminal and driving required
