Major Gifts Officer

Job Summary
Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with a portfolio of 100 current donors giving $1,000 or more annually while growing the portfolio to 130. Lead the agency's 100 Women initiative by gathering donors three to four times yearly for educational programs and donor evaluation. Manage the internal E-Tapestry CRM database, track donations and correspondence, and collaborate with marketing to distribute fundraising materials across print, digital, and social channels. Ensure donor information security, analyze project status reports, and represent Newport Mental Health professionally on a local and regional level. Support the annual golf tournament and gala while maintaining collaborative relationships with all staff. Full-time, 37.5 hours/week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Fundraising, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Entrepreneurship
- 4 or more years' of related work experience
- demonstrable track record in successfully managing a major gifts portfolio and capital campaign
- strong working knowledge of healthcare, or associated industries
- outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- strong public speaking and presentation skills
- ability to listen actively
- flexible writing style with an ability to tailor content to the audience and channel
- strong quantitative skills
- ability to grasp company economics
- ability to cultivate strong interpersonal customer and coworker relationships at all levels of organization
