Job Summary
Major Gifts Officer for New England: drive donor engagement and fundraising results for a fast-paced nonprofit. Responsibilities include developing and implementing donor research and stewardship programs, planning and executing fundraising events, coordinating with Planned Giving, Foundations, Finance, Marketing & Events, and HR, and supervising assigned staff. Build and manage approximately 120 portfolio donor relationships and ~200 additional relationships, cultivate donors >$5,000, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet Chapter goals. Lead with an enthusiastic, persuasive, and relationship-driven approach to support soldiers, families, and veterans of the Israel Defense Forces, with strong emphasis on donor cultivation, solicitation, reporting, and leadership development within the Chapter. Ensure timely reporting to leadership, maintain clear communication with lay leaders, and contribute to board development and strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
- Minimum 5-7 years sales or fundraising experience
- History of successfully generating new revenue streams and improving fundraising results
- Excellent written, oral, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications required and experience using CRM tools, with Raisers Edge experience preferred
- Ability to travel locally required. Occasional international travel to Israel as well as evening and working on Sunday required
