Job Summary
Develop a comprehensive fundraising program for assigned service lines, focusing on major and planned gifts to secure $1 million or more in annual revenue. Lead donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship while collaborating with Donor Engagement and hospital campus teams to implement all fundraising activities. Staff and support the Philanthropy Council, working with Joint Operations Team to develop funding objectives and distribute funds for programs and capital projects. Prepare annual philanthropy plans, update case for support documents, and coordinate campaigns including the ENVISION initiative and employee giving. Cultivate a portfolio of major gift prospects, transition donors from annual giving, and ensure consistent recognition and impact accounting for all major donors. Represent the Foundation at community events and serve as a public speaker for Sharp HealthCare.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Marketing, Communications or related filed
- 5 Years fundraising experience
- Major gift capital campaign experience required with demonstrable success
- Must be able to coordinate with allied partners
- Must be able to actively listen, engage, solicit and close six figure gifts
- Must be able to write effective and successful requests for funding
- Must be personable, articulate, diplomatic and able to motivate individuals and groups with differing points of view
