Job Summary
Welcome every guest with warmth and professionalism, creating memorable experiences by recognizing returning guests and anticipating preferences. Manage VIP reservations, special requests, and private dining inquiries with discretion while resolving concerns promptly. Oversee reservations, seating assignments, and dining room flow to maximize efficiency, coordinating closely with service teams to ensure smooth table turns. Monitor the dining room throughout service to maintain exceptional standards, maintaining accurate guest profiles using platforms like OpenTable or Resy. Communicate effectively with culinary and service teams to ensure seamless execution, supporting leadership in maintaining cleanliness and hospitality standards. Assist with training and mentoring host team members on guest engagement and service expectations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Maître d', Lead Host, Guest Relations Manager, or Front-of-House leader in an upscale restaurant, fine dining, luxury hotel, or private club
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills
- Professional, polished, and confident presence with a passion for hospitality
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused with the ability to anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with reservation management platforms such as OpenTable, SevenRooms, or Resy
- Experience in fine dining, chef-driven restaurants, or luxury hospitality
- Background in luxury hotels, private clubs, or Michelin-recognized concepts
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, and elevated dining service
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
