Job Summary
Maintenance Technician role responsible for inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of heat treating furnaces, industrial machinery, and facility equipment. Performs visual inspections, diagnoses malfunctions, conducts repairs, installs and maintains electrical, piping, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, operates lifts, adheres to OSHA safety standards, and maintains maintenance records across all shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance training or related industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a heat treating or manufacturing environment
- Welding and/or industrial electrical knowledge required
- Ability to complete required training and obtain forklift and aerial lift certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedure manuals, blueprints, and safety literature
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write routine reports and maintenance documentation
- Strong organizational skills with a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic to intermediate math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read and interpret graphs, charts, and data
- Willingness and flexibility to work different shifts, including nights or weekends as needed
