Job Summary
Maintenance Worker at Wheeler Clinic responsible for quality care and maintenance of properties, completing daily maintenance work orders, operating power tools, lifting heavy objects, traveling to other Wheeler locations as needed, identifying safety hazards, coordinating with contracted vendors, assisting with department moves and events, and conducting routine building-system checks (heating/cooling, plumbing, lighting). Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and CT driver's license; 1-2 years maintenance experience preferred; $21/hour. Fully hands-on role with physical demands and a mix of on-site duties across multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years of experience in performing general maintenance repairs is required. Current knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC is preferred.
- Must have a valid CT driver’s license.
