Job Summary
Maintenance Worker (Wastewater) performs semi-skilled general labor to maintain the City water utilities system under Public Works, operating hand and power tools and equipment, adhering to safety regulations, inspecting and repairing water/wastewater lines, lift stations, valves, hydrants, and manhole covers, and assisting in installation of new water/sewer components; cross-trains across utilities maintenance, responds to emergencies, and maintains logs. Requires basic plumbing knowledge, safety compliance, physical capability to lift up to 80 pounds, and readiness to work outside normal hours for emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 year of construction or maintenance work experience
- valid Driver’s License
