Job Summary
Maintenance Worker at a Dignity Memorial facility responsible for cemetery and funeral-home grounds upkeep, including lawn care, grave-site preparation, installation of grave markers and crypt components, setup for openings/closings of interments, and basic repairs. Performs equipment operation (including backhoe under supervision), cleans and maintains facilities and vehicles, and adheres to safety procedures and regulatory guidelines. Requires high school education or equivalent (or relevant experience) and at least 6 months of related work, with physical tasks such as lifting up to 150 lbs (assisted) and pushing/pulling up to 300 lbs, and includes background check requirement.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent or relevant work experience
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience
- Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment (shovel, pick, rake, sledge hammer, lawn mower, weed trimmer, leaf blower)
- Ability to lift up to 150 lbs with equipment assistance
- Ability to push and pull up to 300 lbs
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates, contractor personnel and client families
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Observance of OSHA/safety guidelines
