Job Summary
Maintains cemetery and funeral home grounds, including lawn care, grave-site preparation, digging graves, installing crypt faces and memorials, and supporting interments and graveside services. Assists with chapel setup, markers and crypt installations, equipment maintenance, and general facility upkeep while adhering to safety and OSHA guidelines. Operates backhoe under supervision when needed and prepares sites for openings/closings of interments.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent or relevant work experience
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience
- Ability to operate hand-held tools (shovel, rake, lawn mower, weed trimmer, leaf blower)
- Ability to lift up to 150 lbs with aid, push/pull up to 300 lbs with equipment
- Ability to walk/stand for long periods, work in extreme weather, adapt to changing schedules
- Basic computer skills for email communications
- Possess safety awareness and ability to comply with OSHA guidelines
