Job Summary
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for daily upkeep and repair of residential units and facility spaces, including completing work orders, general building maintenance, and basic HVAC, electrical, and lighting repairs. HVAC licensure is not required, but practical experience is strongly preferred. Must be at least 21, able to pass background checks and drug/TB testing, and hold an active Driver’s License for eligibility. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, at Nashville, TN, within the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in HVAC, electrical, and lighting
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Pass criminal background check, drug, TB test
- Pass search of the child and adult abuse central registry
- Active Driver’s License must be obtained for ROP eligible driver status
