Job Summary
Perform routine building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs. Complete preventive maintenance tasks and regularly inspect facilities to identify safety or repair needs. Assist with groundskeeping duties such as mowing, trimming, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep. Maintain safe, clean, and organized maintenance and mechanical areas. Install, assemble, move, or repair furniture, equipment, and fixtures. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies across agency locations. Communicate effectively with program staff, supervisors, vendors, and contractors regarding maintenance work. Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Full-time, 40-hour day shift (7:30am-4:00pm) in Rochester, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid NYS driver's license
- 2 years of driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
