Job Summary
Conduct general grounds and facility maintenance at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, including landscaping, infrastructure repair, and trail upkeep. Operate gasoline, battery, electric, or diesel-powered equipment such as lawn mowers, tractors, and skidsteers with multiple attachments. Perform routine plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting tasks while maintaining Service property and conducting janitorial services. Test drinking water three times weekly and perform administrative timekeeping duties. Requires a minimum of five years in facilities maintenance or construction, experience with Windows and MS Outlook, and ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Facilities Maintenance or Construction
- HS/GED Degree
- Experience required with Windows, MS Outlook
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 4 hours)
- Must be able to walk up to 1⁄4 mile to project location sites
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in operating equipment such as a skid steer and tractor is preferred but not required
