Maintenance Worker

Maintenance Worker at the Graceville Correctional Facility responsible for repairs and maintenance of structures, electrical systems, plumbing, washers and dryers, heating and ventilation and air conditioning systems in compliance with ACA, MTC, FDOC and DMS directives. Essential duties include repairing and maintaining electrical/plumbing/heating/ventilation/air conditioning and drainage systems; using hand and power tools; replacing light fixtures and wiring; minor construction and woodwork; installing window coverings and security locks; documenting work orders; conducting routine preventive maintenance; supervising inmates as assigned; performing counts of tools and equipment; ensuring safety with PPE; on-call support in emergencies; and contributing to a positive social environment and facility operations. Required education and experience include a high school diploma or equivalent and Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record; technical training and two years related experience preferred; strong written/verbal communication and computer proficiency are preferred. The role is full-time on-site with no relocation indicated.
