Job Summary
Perform repairs and maintenance on structures, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and drainage in compliance with ACA, MTC, FDOC, and DMS directives. Replace faulty light fixtures, outlets, and fuses; conduct minor structural woodwork repairs; install window shades, security locks, and plumbing fixtures. Assist with surface preparation for painting and direct assigned inmates. Requires high school diploma, two years related experience, computer proficiency, and a valid Florida driver's license. Full-time Monday through Friday schedule at Gadsden Correctional Facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training
- Two (2) years related experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Valid driver's license in the state of Florida with an acceptable driving record
