Job Summary
Conduct plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs throughout the facility, including painting, drywall work, and door maintenance. Troubleshoot various maintenance problems and ensure all job assignments are completed to 100% daily. Keep the maintenance shop clean, store tools properly, and report equipment needs or damages immediately. Maintain a safe working environment by following safety guidelines and facility policies while working in both indoor and outdoor settings. Work irregular shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, lifting up to 50 pounds and operating power and hand tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 or more years of general maintenance experience
- Good organization skills
- Good oral, written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions labels
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to work with little supervision and always maintain professional demeanor
- Ability to work irregular hours, shifts that include nights, graveyard shift, weekends and holidays
- Ability to operate power and hand tools
- Valid California Driver's License
- Fork & Boom Lift Operator Certifications
- Basic computer skills
- Pass a (25 – 50 question) comprehensive test related to various maintenance tasks
