Job Summary
Maintenance Worker I assists with semi-skilled upkeep across masonry, carpentry, electrical work, painting, and general building and grounds maintenance. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections of fire extinguishers and emergency systems, set up/break down of classrooms and program areas, furniture moves, keeping sanitary conditions, completing monthly inspections and work orders, and maintaining documentation in Worx Hub.勤務 in occupied school environments at Armory and Chadwicks schools with on-call duties and coordination with school staff. Travel is required to support multiple sites; requires NYS driver’s license. Training and onboarding of new staff, adherence to regulations and agency standards, and participation in agency activities are expected. May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in building maintenance, facilities or related field preferred
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted
- Travel is required
- Must have and maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License
