Maintenance Worker

Job Summary
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure all facilities and amenities meet Hotel standards, including completing Guestroom Preventative Maintenance Checklists and minor repair orders. Apply preparatory materials, paints, and stains to walls, ceilings, and signage, while maintaining the exterior through snow removal and landscaping. Check electrical systems, perform maintenance on electronic locks and fixtures, and monitor fire alarm/life safety systems. Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guestrooms, maintain tools and equipment, and handle guest requests professionally. Follow safety policies, report hazards, and coordinate contractor activities. Maintain accurate task records and emergency plans.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1-3 years building maintenance experience
- Painting and plastering experience
- Have and maintain a valid Driver's License
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, safety awareness information, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to write routine reports, keep logs, and correspondence
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Long periods of time spent standing, with frequent bending
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Must have a vehicle
