Job Summary
Maintenance Worker III performs a variety of skilled labor supporting cleaning, maintenance and repair of streets, storm drains, sewer lines, water or wastewater mains, and public facilities; operates a wide range of equipment, lays pipes, concrete, asphalt, and crack seal, loads tools and materials, flags traffic, digs trenches, assists with drainage maintenance, drives trucks and other equipment, conducts preventive maintenance, performs safety inspections, and follows drawings and supervisor instructions. Requires knowledge of construction tools and equipment, safety practices, map reading, ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor, and communication skills. Licenses such as Texas Driver's License with good driving history and optional TCEQ or CDL-B may be required depending on department.
