Maintenance Worker III- Journeyman

Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair central plant equipment including heating hot water boilers, steam boilers, centrifugal chillers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, and associated support systems. Respond in a timely fashion to alarms from equipment monitoring, HVAC, and IT systems. Assist with plumbing, HVAC repairs, welding, and other assigned tasks while completing associated paperwork with high accuracy. Requires a journeyman license, 4+ years of directly-related maintenance experience, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Schedule runs Thursday through Monday from 06:30 am to 3:00 pm, with days off on Tuesday and Wednesday. A post-offer background check and access to Kirtland Air Force base are required.
Required Qualifications

- journeyman license
- 4+ years of directly-related maintenance experience
- equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- demonstrated skills in general maintenance
- ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of maintenance problems
- ability to complete associated paperwork
- work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- highly motivated
- good verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work independently
- ability to work as a part of a team
- computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
- ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed
