Job Summary
Maintenance Worker II responsible for keeping casino property systems, machinery, and buildings operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include visually inspecting and testing equipment, diagnosing malfunctions, dismantling defective machines, installing/replacing parts, cleaning and lubricating components, maintaining pipe systems and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, repairing structural elements, installing/repairing automated machinery, and operating machine tools (lathe, grinder, drill) to fabricate parts. Must support the team and handle duties as assigned; requires safety awareness, basic math and reading comprehension, and the ability to work with customers and colleagues. Requires high school diploma or GED with related experience, valid Oregon driver’s license, and passing a background check; physical ability to work weekends/evenings, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds; in-person role at Ko-Kwel Casino Resort in North Bend, Oregon.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must have Current Oregon Driver's license with good driving record.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and use hands; tolerate moving mechanical parts; lift up to 50 pounds; work in outside weather; exposure to fumes, chemicals; loud environment; potential secondhand smoke.
