Job Summary
Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, heavy machinery, and company vehicles while performing repairs on Water/Sewer utilities, stormdrains, buildings, and concrete/asphalt surfaces. Assist with landscaping, grounds maintenance, snow removal, and seasonal tasks, ensuring a clean and organized work environment. Follow all safety protocols, complete work orders and documentation accurately, and perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects. Valid CDL with a clean driving record and intermediate experience required. Full-time position at City of Aberdeen DPW Maintenance Shop with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL with a clean driving record
- Intermediate experience in maintenance and repair work
- Ability to operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of building systems and equipment
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
